Newbery to Sponsor American Cricket Champions League

An agreement in principle has been reached between Newbery and the American Cricket Federation, which will see Newbery become the primary sponsor of the ACF's 40-over competition.

Under the terms of the proposed five-year agreement, the competition will be rebranded as the Newbery American Cricket Champions League and Newbery will be prominently featured in all ACCL advertising and promotions.

Newbery will supply all ACCL teams with custom designed and manufactured kits at no cost to the teams, and will also produce and market ACF-licensed team apparel and merchandise. Newbery will also supply custom shirts for ACCL umpires.

Further details of the sponsorship agreement will be forthcoming upon final contract ratification.

ACF CEO Jamie Harrison said, "We see this as a tremendous boost for cricket in the United States, as Newbery's sponsorship of the national domestic 40-over league will do much to raise the competition's stature and professionalism.

"The Newbery name is reserved for only the highest quality products, which we think is fitting for America's premier cricket competition, and we are proud to have the ACCL brand associated with Newbery."

A spokesperson for Newbery said, "We're passionate about supporting affiliate cricket across the globe so we're thrilled that Newbery will be associated with this fantastic competition. This is a great opportunity for us to help grow the sport in the U.S.A".
