The Newbery Kudos2 has been rated as the best bat in its class, as well as picking up the overall silver medal across every adult and junior bat tested in The Cricketer Good Gear Guide 2015.
This follows last year’s gold medal and best in class win for the original Newbery Kudos in 2014.
The Cricketer’s independent panel of cricket experts, described the new Kudos 2 as “understated and classy” and an “absolute belter”.
The Kudos2 received a total score of 84/100, garnered across five categories including build quality, pick-up/feel, performance, and value for money.
The five-person panel tested 31 of the best bats on the market, with the original Kudos and the Uzi also praised. The Kudos was “the pick” of its price range, with the panel noting that it was “beautifully finished”, while the Uzi offered “a ton of power for a light pick-up”.
The Kudos2 recently made its debut at the Cricket World Cup in the hands of Scotland and Warwickshire’s Freddie Coleman and will be used in the coming season by Craig Cachopa (Sussex) and Alexei Kervezee (Worcestershire).
