Newbery Staff Blog - Andy Miller

I've taken on the role as the new head of sales and marketing at Newbery. My role will involve communicating and meeting with trade customers, marketing the brand using our social media networks, exploring new business opportunities, dealing with sponsorships and general help around the showroom. As well as pursuing new sale opportunities for Newbery.

I am originally from Preston, so if you come in store it won't be hard to guess who the northerner is! I played for Lancashire from the age of 13 and was in the original academy intake. I also played All England youth cricket from U15. I signed my first professional deal with Warwickshire at the age of 17. I was very lucky to represent England U19’s including at the U19 Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka, as well as three winter tours and three home series.

I played this past season with Sussex where I met Neil Lenham for the first time. It was a privilege to be able to use Newbery and it is by far the best cricket kit I've ever used. The bats are world class, I used the Tour but my new favourite is the Kudos.

I'm very excited with my new role here. Despite having the chance to keep playing, this opportunity was too good to turn down. I find myself very fortunate that I'm still involved in the game and it has been a very smooth transition.

I feel I've fit nicely into the office, alongside Neil, Michael and Alan. They have made me feel very much at home and I'm looking forward to moving the brand forward. If you have any marketing or sales questions, please email me at
