Newbery Pros: Jon Lewis, Sussex CCC April 15 2014
Jon Lewis has been a consistent wicket-taker in county cricket for almost two decades, having made his first-class debut in 1995. He has taken over 800 wickets in the four-day format, both with Gloucestershire and more latterly Surrey where he has spent the last two seasons.
Lewis has played international cricket for England across all three formats of the game, featuring in the Test Match against Sri Lanka at Trent Bridge in 2006, 13 One-Day Internationals and two Twenty20 matches between 2005 and 2007.
This year, Jon has elected to use the Kudos handmade cricket bat, saying "it's the best bat I've used in a long time."
The 38-year-old joined Sussex in the summer and said of his move, "I'm really excited to be joining Sussex, a club I have admired from a distance for a long time and I'm looking forward to a new challenge in my career."
